    It would genuinely be easier to change the start times of elementary schools to match the daylight hours than to make everyone change their sleep patterns twice a year.

      That’s its own beast; do you stagger the start times so that teenagers that are up the latest get proper sleep, or do you reverse it so they can take care of the younger kids?

      I would say “What the fuck teach your five year old to walk down the street or talk to your community to help them, you have utterly failed at your job as a parent if your kid has that little ability to act independently of you” But that’s why the school asked me showing up to random parent-teacher conferences.
