African Tale is a 15 minutes USSR cartoon that tells a story about struggle of a human against “civilised” animals who discovered his homeland. It’s an allegorical story that exposed racism and imperialism of western colonisers in Africa. It’s based on the parable of founding father of Kenya, Jomo Kenyatta. The animation was released in 1963, the same year Republic of Kenya became independent from 
The part when he smiles after finishing a hard day’s work with the music playing in the background.
It’s such a beautiful and dignified depiction.Let’s see some western cartoons from 1963 depicting Black persons…
