Most of the terrible decisions are a net positive in regards to the personal enrichment of the administration’s associates and power-players. As long as they spin it as a positive to the gullible voting populace, it doesn’t matter what the administration does.

You are giving it too much credit. The pedomango is not that bright.
Thinking of things in terms of what’s good for the country might not be informative of the motivations here.
