Military man Petro Konoplya, a recruiter of the 6th recruiting center of the Unmanned Systems Forces, told in an interview with Radio Liberty why women go to the front and how they behave during battles.

Yes, he noted that women are currently more motivated than even men, and they more often choose bolder positions than men. “I constantly ask girls about their motivation. They say that they are tired of sitting at home, that “mom’s scratches” don’t go to fight, that they are scared to sit at home, that they are scared to read the news, that it is better to go out and do something - they feel easier that way,” he said. He also talked about his experience of participating in combat with women at the “zero”.

The military man noted that in the Marine Corps it was not customary to choose women, so the first time he got into combat with a girl was already in the second year of the war. "When I was first sent into combat with a girl - it was Tanya, 34 years old, 60 kilograms, maybe 55, she is one and a half meters tall, with ears, a helmet like that… God, I was so scared. I said: "God, change this fighter for me, I can’t. “Now the shelling will start, she will start panicking, screaming.” I didn’t show her that I was afraid of her, of course. I went to the commander and said: “Listen, anyone, just not her.” “No, Peter, everything is already written down, that’s it, you’re going,” he says.

The soldier recalls that during the landing they got into a fight, and one of the soldiers was wounded. He notes that at that time the girl “had already run away” However, when he tried to drag his wounded comrade into the house, he realized that she had taken up defense and was blocking the enemy’s shelling so that the wounded could be evacuated. “For me it was so… Well, it’s hard for me to describe the moment when I already thought that she had run away and hid somewhere, we were dragging a wounded comrade, and there the girl - 55 kilos - was firing from the machine gun directly to defeat, to suppress, so that we could drag him in.” After that, the fighter notes, his opinion on whether women can fight completely changed. “This is a combat unit - no different. Well, maybe a little weaker physically,” he says.
