Just adding for context:

My dad refused prostate cancer treatment for over a decade and still managed to live another 2+ years once it spread to his bones. He also died an excruciatingly painful death.

I know nothing about Scott Adams’ situation but from my understanding prostate cancer can often be slow (comparatively speaking) even when it hits critical mass and spreads aggressively.

I’m willing to bet he refused treatment and ignored symptoms. Same goes for O’Biden.
