Yorke was asked whether he would play in Israel with Radiohead again. “Absolutely not,” he replied. “I wouldn’t want to be 5,000 miles anywhere near the Netanyahu regime but Jonny has roots there. So I get it.”

As long as someone has german roots it’s ok to have concerts in nazi germany

“I would also politely disagree with Thom,” Greenwood responded. “I would argue that the government is more likely to use a boycott and say, ‘Everyone hates us – we should do exactly what we want.’ Which is far more dangerous.”

“It’s nuts,” he added. “The only thing that I’m ashamed of is that I’ve dragged Thom and the others into this mess – but I’m not ashamed of working with Arab and Jewish musicians. I can’t apologise for that.”

They already do whatever they want, you’re complicit if you keep visiting, and you’re not barred from playing with Arabs and Jewish people elsewhere, what a way to twist the narrative

Also, what are they pretending is the good of not boycotting Israel? That Israel will be too scared to genocide people even harder than its recent approach? But then, what if it does and then gets boycotted, then isn’t it again true that “everyone hates them,” etc? Would the desired result not be that it pulls back? But if boycotting them could make them pull back, then why not do it now, when they are still genocidal? And if you can only threaten to boycott and never actually do it, then you can’t threaten to boycott at all because it’s an empty threat.

The cope in the comments here is unreal lmao

I know for a fact half of these people have old washed out Radiohead t-shirts in their closets that are now claiming “They were boring and never good anyway”

You can just say he did the JK Rowling shark jump and be done with it. You don’t have to try so hard to convince everyone you weren’t one of the fanboys utterly obsessed with How To Disappear Completely lmao
