I inherited an electric one from my FIL. This is very satisfying.
I’m in love with my new power washer. It’s transforming our house.
Dope house
Very dope house indeed. This is SO much cool than vinyl siding. Im guessing this is Europe somewhere? I’m so jealous, for multiple reasons.
You’re right, it’s in the French countryside. It’s a really awesome old building (even has a tower with a spiral stairway!) but it’s also a bit of ruin. There was no heating, or proper electricity and loads of leaks and other problems when we moved in 18 months ago. It’s been a lot of work, taught me many new skills and alternated between fun/stressful, but it’s starting to feel quite homely. Hopefully we can repoint all the stone walls over summer (that’s why we’ve been powerwashing) so that the winter storms stop raining through the walls into our living room…
Imagine explaining how you washed that to the people who built it.
I treated my exterior walls last spring with a product that kills organic growth and doesn’t even need to be rinsed off. Just spray it on and leave it do it’s thing. This is the same wall a year later. I had pressure washed it all a couple years back but it all grew back in a few years.
Was it wet and forget? That stuff is awesome and cleans better than a pressure washer in my opinion since it can get higher and doesn’t streak.
Get an extension if one is available, much better than blasting between the cladding from a low angle when reaching for the upper rows.
I do miss the powerwashing porn subreddit. There is something ASMR about it.
I’ve never done siding like this before. It was very satisfying. And I felt like a kid playing in a sprinkler.
this reminds me i need to check over my powerwasher to see how it did over the winter
Fine start to the project
Why thank you. Only about 3000 more sq ft to go…. 🥵
Protip: Spray with something to kill the mildew and let it rest a bit before washing off.

Thanks for the tip. Yep I’ll probably get something this weekend. I was just seeing if the inherited pressure washer was gonna work.
