Stay civil. Just because you don’t like a certain politics, doesn’t mean you can come in and just stir shit up. Please see Rule 1 in the sidebar.

If’s so inactive, then you shouldn’t have an issue with my “tone policing.”

Also, most communities on Lemmy have a civility rule. In fact, I copied my sidebar rules directly from other communities.

So if you don’t like “tone policing” then you are gonna have a tough time on Lemmy.

            Sir sir sir!

            Please be respectful.

You are in the presence of a three year old lemmy account with a squeaky clean modlog. Please take the time to verify this for yourself before making further erroneous claims about my online demeanor.

I don’t care about your account, never bothered to look at it, never will look at it. I don’t care.

But I’m surprised that you are surprised that some communities have a civility rule. lol

No idea what point you are trying to make. If you don’t like this community or the way it’s run, no one is forcing you to be here.

I have no plans going to hexbear. Glad you like it though. Good for you.

No free speech has been violated at all. The person is not facing legal consequences, professional consequences, or personal consequences for saying something.

They are free to say whatever they want. And I’m free to remove comments that don’t fit the tone of this Libertarian community.

And you are free to start your own community on this instance or any other instance.

I’ve had plenty of comments removed from other communities. I don’t remember you sticking up for me in those communities though.

But those other communitees are free to remove my comments because it’s their community. And they have. And they have banned me. I don’t care. It’s Lemmy. It’s not that serious.

I wasn’t making biased or hateful comments, but demonstrating evidence based logic. By saying that DOGE is a success or has produced any positives for humanity, or has cut any waste whatsoever rather than increase waste, demonstrates a stupidity and credulousness previously unobserved throughout all humanity.

I know that libertarians hate anything that makes the world a better place, or any government spending that isn’t directly killing people.

Not true. I get that you don’t like them. That’s totally fine. In face, feel free to start a “Anti-Libertarian News” community on this instance or any other, if you would like.

That’s the beautify of the fediverse. If you don’t like the rules of a community, you can start your own.

I like libertarian values and the party. I don’t care if you don’t. Me liking them doesn’t affect your life in any way, shape, or form. Move on if you don’t like it here.

DOGE killed USAID and made major cuts to NED, which is a huge win in my book. Other than that, I can’t say from lack of familiarity. But the concept of DOGE is good. Just unlikely that it would produce the right outcomes in the american political environment. It’s obvious to anyone who’s looked at the numbers that the “welfare” system in America (which is just a bandaid covering up underlying market inefficiencies) is deeply inefficient itself. If you’ve ever worked in a bureaucracy, you know that without oversight, bureaucracy expands only to serve its own interests, not the people. Bureaucratic positions may not need to be subjected to market discipline, but they do need to be accountable to some sort of discipline.

No, you have an opinion. Which is fine, but you calling something “dumb” isn’t the way to express that opinion in this community.

There are plenty of places on Lemmy that thinks the Libertarian Party is dumb. You’ll find plenty of friends in those communities.
