If you already have a favourite online retailer, you can install Kindle, Kobo, Nook, Scribe, Libby, Tolino, or third party apps such as Koreader or Moon+ Reader.
hinestly I haven’t used a kindle since gen 2ish. But compared to the kobo it’s about equal maybe slightly slower. You have to make sure to turn off animations in the 3rd party apps otherwise you can get some ghosting but that’s a problem with all android based ereaders.
Very glad I didn’t get a kindle suddenly.
If anyone is in the market for an e-reader I can strongly recommend the Meebook m7.
