His sense of humor for those unable to check

At 60, Walz is just a year older than Harris, but critics say he looks much older, which could be a liability to a campaign that is rebounding from Biden’s departure over concerns about his age.

Walz responded to this criticism on X, saying he looks the way he does because he was a high school teacher and “supervised the lunchroom for 20 years. You do not leave that job with a full head of hair. Trust me.”

Sorry 'bout that. He literally would give Harris a massive boost in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota.

Your semi-loss is everyone’s gain. He’s gonna be the guy.

There is no reason to believe that he would have any effect on Wisconsin or Michigan. Minnesota is a blue state.

Not huge at all. Muslims are only 2.5% of the population. Where are you coming up with this?

2.5% is huge when you talk about people who tend to vote democrat. Also, it isn’t just Muslims. The Michigan primary was the beginning of the end for Biden when uncommitted voters showed their ire at him. Picking a pro Israel vp shows those voters that Harris is pro genocide at worst, or just doesn’t care at best.

No it isn’t huge. What is huge in Michigan is union workers, and there this no reason to suspect he would have great effect there either.

Both of the people in the running have the ire of unions. Shapiro for being all in on undermining public education and Kelly for not supporting that bill the unions wanted. Walz doesn’t have that baggage. If you want a motivate electorate, Walz is the way to go. He is good on all the bedrock things.

I wish it could be Buttigieg, but he can continue to be just as effective as he’s been without weighing down the ticket.

Kelly is the perfect choice for this race.

If he was a nobody he wouldn’t be part of her list. I think you can do better than that.

What does a Kamala candicacy need from a VP, other than an old-but-not-too-old white man who doesn’t say much and doesn’t steal she show but conveys a sense of quiet competence to illustrate a kind of chaperone character for the benefit of older people who want to be progressive but are still basically racist? Not much if you ask me, this is the Kamala show. But having a tough looking mother fucking Astronaut whose wife survived an assassination attempt neutralizes so many Trump/Vance talking points right out of the gate, freeing up Kamala to be Kamala.
