Does that mean we get send to end encryption for Signal and Whatsapp and more coming later? I’m assuming i would have to have a WhatsApp account and login through this app to receive Whatsapp messages?
Yes and yes. It runs the bridge and en/decrypts messages locally on your device, so full e2ee is preserved. The bridge still has to login to your messenger accounts, so nothing changes there.
