    I dunno, is this an issue? There have been a lot of successful single player releases in the past few years. I’m glad people feel they need to still exist but I don’t think single player games are going to stop being a medium.

    In the end, I just think companies are greedy, and that’s why we’re seeing problems and layoffs in the game industry.

      It’s not a massive issue but it could become one. A lot of AAA studios are chasing the dragon that essentially came from mobile games and trying to bring the shady practices to traditional games. Some with more success than others. Remember when almost every publisher were trying to make their own battle royale. They haven’t fully given up on that instead they’re chasing a more broader live service game. Even though they’ve went away from just focusing on the same genre but instead the same money making mechanics, these live service games stop l still all feel very similar. That’s the issue.

      It just sucks that so many of our already established, single player franchises are being turned into online multiplayer crap.
