If it’s not meant for walking, and it’s just crossed out due to issues with the building/garage design, then just scoot over a bit to give everyone else some space.

Deloreans had a similar problem. Dents and scratches couldn’t be repaired with traditional bodywork techniques. They had a special Brillo/scotchbrite pad that would put the texture back into metal if you buffed it too hard.
