Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTs) are spread out like gems on the top of the vast blue Pacific Ocean. These beautiful islands, known for their rich cultural history and stunning scenery, are facing a storm that isn't related to the weather but to metabolism. Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) are a big problem that makes people afraid for their health and well-being. In answer, an interesting plan has been made to change the way food taxes are collected. We'll look into the specifics of this approach and see how it's changing the way we fight NCDs.
