Climate@slrpnk.net•Plant-Based Mince Now 29% Cheaper Than Beef at Tesco as Meat Prices Climb281·1 month agoI like that as the meat industry pushes to prevent plant based food from using certain meat words like “sausage” and “burger” but there will always be other slightly less common words, like “mince” and “hash”
I have used FG a very little bit. Its really impressive. Hopefully I have a reason to use it again.
I’m probably not much help on the compiling side.

If you don’t want to watch YouTube: https://transparentelection.org/
Our approach leverages each state’s authority to define corporate powers, creating a pathway to campaign finance reform that doesn’t rely on restricting speech but instead focuses on not granting political spending powers to corporations in the first place.

1·3 months agoI wonder how many of them know that Trump pulled out of the Iran nuke deal in 2018 that minimized the number of sanctions and bombs needed. He imposed sanctions on Iran (which kill people) and now he is bombing them.

vatlark@lemmy.worldtoHacker News@lemmy.bestiver.se•Show HN: Seapie – a Python debugger where breakpoints drop into a REPLEnglish
1·5 months agoThey give some justification:
https://github.com/hirsimaki-markus/seapie#why-not-pdb
Overall, pdb is ok but it felt rough for the novice I once was. pdb asks you to learn a small debugger language on top of Python and interaction with your code requires a separate ‘mode’. In my opinion the correct specification for debugger user experience is that ‘it works like i imagine it should work’ and seapie tries to achieve that.

The IPO is on friday, no?
