The real offender is the Benedictine College for pushing this nonsense, and not issuing an apology. I thought it was curious he used the word “vocation” so frequently. I noticed on the College’s press page, they also used this word in the article announcing he would be doing the commencement speech.

From their press page (emphasis mine):

By grounding himself in his vocation as a husband and father, Butker says he has been able to use his platform to push others to greater heights.

Examples of this word “vocation” in his speech.
