I watch bodycam vids on youtube because they’re unscripted. People worrying about their dogs getting shot comes up enough to verify that the public (some subset) knows this happens. Goddamned cops. Poor dogs.

Folks, let’s not rush to conclusions… Maybe this person was blinded by money and couldn’t see the evil because it was like staring into the sun. Maybe they were paid partly in stocks that only vested just now and they couldn’t find their moral compass because of greed. It might be that they were able to land a new job that pays even more and only had the financial freedom to criticize Google because of it.

I’m just saying, we shouldn’t assume that they didn’t know Google was evil the whole time. They must be intelligent or they wouldn’t have got the job.

/sarcasm (because some people are too stupid to be on the internet without an adult watching over them. i get that sarcasm is difficult to discern now that everything has become so outlandish, but you really shouldn’t be using the internet if this went over your head.)

I can’t imagine a more advanced mind. I mean, maybe Einstein, but we have proof of her discoveries and they’re not at all abstract in the contemporary world! (I mean, they kinda are, but you get what I mean.)

Other: Charles Babbage (sp?) and the Analytic Engine: perhaps our first real computer. Imagine a steampunk world where all our devices were powered by huge mechanical chunks and chonks.

I saw a video of a constructed Analytical Engine (they couldn’t manufacture the parts to the specs required in Babbage’s time) donated to a Computer History museum by an early Microsoft exec. Didn’t find it on a quick search, but it’s a huge thing driven by a physical crank.

Oh, cool! Red Hat! The people who run a company charging for support. This makes me feel very safe.

To be fair, I was young and stupid and inexperienced and I said stupid things… I’ll give you a pass one time. I’m not blind or deaf and I don’t speak on behalf of anyone who isn’t me.

I’ve been disappointed that PP is the only way to support the site. Patreon would be nice, but anything that isn’t the company that cheated me out of some money two decades ago even though I had documentation that I’d paid the other party would be fine. I hate PP.

I’ve donated a few times regardless. Sometimes you can’t escape companies you refuse to engage with if you wanna engage with someone else on the other end.

I feel most sad for the children who didn’t vote for any of this and will go hungry. The adults in red states who voted for the war criminal-rapist can fuck off and starve.

If those stats are true, eff. I already hated that industry.

The cool part is how my mother voted for the asshole again, dissolving our relationship. /s
