They were correct though, you weren’t.
Which makes your cockiness that much funnier.

The punishment for not being a profit producing indentured servant? Homelessness.
The punishment for homelessness? Jail.
The punishment in jail? Slavery.
It’s so stupid, if you actually need a small truck your options are to buy used basically.
We just need a couple small (easy to navigate in cities, good on gas) 4wd trucks on the market. You’re basically stuck in Ford Transitsright now, which they’ve just stopped making, or buying 20yr old Mazdas and Rangers. Or being forced into the same F150s every other fleet operator has. I know the market for these vehicles exists (though demand is low) why does no manufacturer try to fill it?
I like a nice drip coffee but a well made Americano is definitely a tastier drink.
But yeah to each their own coffee and tea are like sex everyone has their own preferred style and it’s so subjective that we can all be right.
A small piece of metal applied at 2500ft per second works wonders.
This is actually the beauty of the fediverse to me.
Anyone with the know-how (or will to learn) can fork some code and start implementing changes they want from their service. It’s always been one of the biggest draws of *nix for me (and FOSS in general). I love the really granular control of being able to configure pretty much every setting or feature to the users liking.
They have a timeline they want to work with.
0-6M signatures is just organizing/coalition building and figuring out skillsets.
6-10M signatures create demands and plan events, work on strike dates, keep organizing, more outreach.
11M signatures strike on the chosen day, mutual aid networks work to support strikers, educate new strikers and volunteers.
Cut social security and Medicare now.
It’ll suck for a lot of people. Parents will have to move in with their kids. It’ll collapse entire sectors of Healthcare, housing, even basic stuff like utilities and grocers will be decimated by the loss.
The worst thing would be for them to be able to kick the can down the road long enough that their policies have time to solidify. Once the institutional knowledge is gone for good we won’t just be able to repair the damage.
Why?
What’s “is ought” bro? You can’t just say random stuff and expect us to finish your thought, elucidate.
You organize and push policies you want. Push for RCV, push for candidates that’ll support what you want, show up to protest with your peers. You organize petition drives and collect signatures. Community organizing is a field all it’s own and there are a dozen ways to engage but engaging is the critical part. There are other steps to take that organization will be important for but I’m not going to start fedposting. Being organized is the only path forward.
Organizing and acting is how you accomplish goals.
That you see organizing and establishing community as “dismissal” and “prepping” speaks volumes.
We’ve made great strides locally, what used to be a “queer hiking group” is now talking about secure communications and organizing a range day soon. We’re making actual progress and forming a support network for our friends and families. But yeah I’m not doing anything and your demoralizing progressive voters online is going to accomplish a lot.
Edit: I can give you more concrete steps if you’d like. If you’re willing to give me a rough geographic location I can probably even locate existing group(s) around you that would likely be receptive to help
Organize offline, meet people in your community, shitposting online isn’t going to do anything. Reference my previous comment, organize locally with like minded people and start preparing for things to get really bad.
ORGANIZE IN REAL LIFE AND STOP NAYSAYING ANY ATTEMPTS AT PROGRESS.
How do we restore trust in democratic primaries?
Now that’s actual real question that contributes to the conversation.
I mean, besides telling anyone who notices the problem to shut up?
I’ll tell whiny little crybabies to shut up all day long if they’re not contributing shit. You should try it, it’s harder than snarky thought-terminating cliches but you can make actual progress that way.
If arguing against strawmen makes you feel good then you can continue doing that. I know righteousness feels good but you’re completely missing the point.
That’s what you took from that entire statement?
OK then, I think I’ve discovered the problem. Have a nice day.
I’m working in real life to organize which is a hell of a lot more useful than trying to demoralize progressives online. I tell people as often as I can, especially my trans and bipoc friends; now is the time. Get a couple guns (a long one and a short one) and learn how to use them. Learn some basic first aid, you really just need to know how to stabilize someone. Start networking with like-minded people in your communities. The police will not protect us, they’ve proven they’ll happily club senior citizens to the ground and shoot any protesters in the face with rubber bullets while escorting a rightwing murderer to safety.
Iran was a secular, liberal state until almost 1980 when they (mostly legitimately) elected an Islamist theocracy; it could happen here.
Get to know people in your community. Take an interest in growing food, learn how to fix things. Get a gun (or two) and learn how to use them. Establish secondary lines of communication and start preparing. Put in the work instead of suppressing people who are on your side.

No you’re not, you’re just complaining. If there were anything actionable or useful in your comments I wouldn’t have responded to you.
But again, why do you think I don’t want “that problem” solved. It would benefit me for it to be solved.
When did I do that?
How about you don’t jump in to demoralize every chance you get. Try to come up with solutions and ways forward. We all know things are fucked we’re just not apathetic whiners who see no way out and want to spread our apathy to others.
Ah yes I want the problem to persist so things can get even worse in the place I live, that makes total sense.
I have a strong dislike of centipedes as well. One time years ago I had a terrible dream that a large centipede (one of those big jungle ones) was crawling all over my body. As it raced down my arm I slapped at it, with a jolt of pain my arm went instantly numb as it bit me.
I startled myself awake to realize I was laying on my arm and it had gone completely asleep and was numb. Still one of the scariest dreams I’ve ever had haha.
