I mean I’m like 99.9999% sure the post itself is satire, but what worries me is that I’m not sure if the concept of “higher order vibes” is itself satire or not

His accusations really aren’t that far off from what I’ve seen from eg. some Finnish officers – not specifically related to the drone unit but to the Ukrainian military itself.
While I have no doubt that there are a lot of very professionally run units in Ukraine, quite a few of them still have many of the issues that come with being a post-Soviet military. They’re not quite as egregiously bad as Russia’s, thankfully, but when the general staff and a lot of the senior officers are mainly Soviet-trained, it’s hard to get rid of that sort of thinking
I will never understand people who like roasts.
Implying they ever had the plot to begin with
What’s scary is that it seems like every conservative around the world is fully erect / has soaked their panties taking notes of what the Trump regime is doing, and so many are outright blatantly copying the tactics – and they’re working
Looking in from the outside, the US 100% does seem like it’s thiiiiiis close to being a far right dictatorship.
I see many commentators, both foreign and domestic (to the US), saying that there’s no way Republicans will win the next election after this clusterfuck, and I can’t help but wonder if it isn’t a bit premature to assume that there will be anything resembling fair elections in the US in the future – at least at a federal level or in any red state. What with the Trump regime taking an axe to federal election security etc etc
Makes me wonder what the fuck they think they voted for
But doing anything about it now might hurt shareholder profits in the next few quarters, so let’s just wait until things get even worse – then we can start murdering scapegoats and pray for our neofeudalist techbro overlords to save us
A lot of media – globally – are owned by reich-wingers, and they certainly don’t want anyone seeing their dirty laundry
Not anymore, no. Now at least 50% of workers will actively work towards destroying their own power to organize, by voting for right wing psychopaths who want to bring back feudalism.
Right wing voters don’t mind the boot on their neck because they believe that one day they’ll be wearing that boot, and they know that the people they voted for promised to hurt Others even more.
Yeah, until there’s a confirmation of this by someone in a country that isn’t run by a fascist regime that’s hell-bent on demonizing renewables, I’m just going to assume it’s propaganda.
Not that I’m saying it’s impossible, just that I wouldn’t trust “US officials” any further than I could throw them.
But that’s the thing: Nazis weren’t really even displaced, and many kept their jobs in eg. the judiciary because they were seen as indispensable. The failure of denazification was on display especially egregiously in Austria, where you’d have people openly wearing Nazi uniforms years after the war, and they concoted the idea that they were all just unwilling victims of Nazism instead of enthusiastic participants.
And as we all know, the best way to prevent anyone from attacking you is to make sure you’re as defenseless as possible
What
One of the mistakes Germans (+ occupying forces) and the Austrians made after WW II was pardoning / “washing clean” Nazis after the war. Eg. the Austrian far right party FPÖ was founded by an SS member, and I’d be surprised if the AfD didn’t have Nazis in its family tree as well.
People who support fascism can’t be rehabilitated, except for a tiny minority.
Seems like a run of the mill liberal whose information about “the left” comes from far right talking points:
But there is a problem with the way in which discussion about family values and having babies is split into two extreme camps – the trad-wife Right and the “abolish the family” Left. For any young couple starting out, the choices seem to be to either raise your non-binary child in defiance of the nuclear family, or to go full homestead and demand that your wife wear gingham and churn her own butter amongst a multitude of children.
Like, what the fuck is this shit?
The discussion about “family values” might seem like this if you only listen to what conservatives are claiming about what “the left” wants.
I didn’t mean that they never called it a “chatbot”, but that they treat it like a regular meatbag source, more or less.
But yeah, maybe take a break, you’ve clearly decided to be ANGY about this for some reason.
That’s… reassuring.
This reminds me of that scene from Fight Club:
“Which bank do you work for?”
“A major one”
Purely out of curiosity, I used the Cursor IDE for a personal project involving a lot of math-y stuff, and this really wasn’t my experience.
Not only was most of what it produced wrong (ran just fine, but mostly produced complete garbage), the code quality was absolute shit. Overly long functions, often with parts that repeated, kept shoving more and more parameters into those overly long functions, no sense of using abstractions to cut down on code length etc. etc.
Might have partially been a question of language choice; I was using Julia, and there’s definitely not going to be as much training data for it compared to something like Python (🤮), and a lot of the code that is out there has been written by people who aren’t coders but scientists
