AIUI D1 is in a better state than D2 will be even after the June 9th update. If you have a play station and are interested in Destiny it’s probably good to pick up.

D2 still has a lot of good content but the new player experience is rather rough since they removed the original tutorial and only put back in a shorter and less complete one.

I mean if you like using Linux buy something like a Thinkpad and put your favorite flavor of Linux on it.

But if you do want to try Mac, there’s a lot more similarity between Mac and Linux than either and Windows.

Destiny has very broad appeal, has printed money before, and certainly could be popular again if they just stopped making all the worst decisions.

Marathon has a very very particular niche it’s targeting and I think it does that well, but I don’t it’s going to grow at all without some changes to its fundamental ideas.

The model we currently have for the universe goes well beyond anything we could learn with our natural senses and the way we intuitively think about the world because of those senses.

It’s true that we keep refining our models and it’s very possible that an alien would have slightly different models, but at the end of the day, we are trying to describe the same universe and those models are going to overlap a lot because of that.
