Ah I was wondering this and my cursory search result was that :

• Their design (ARC) is sound for its physics.
• their design would produce more energy if nothing goes wrong with the hardware.
• The hardware is designed but not built yet.

Basically it’s really promising because on paper it should really work as expected. But at the same time without building it, there will be obstacles along the way. The materials could last too little time for it to be commercially viable.

So they seem to be at the very last theoretical step of fusion energy but there is still a huge challenge in actually building the thing and most importantly, it to be viable commercially.

While it’s hard to get perfect determinism you can still get very close. But really I think it’s accurate to say that LLM are random because they are configured to be.

I’m pretty sure LLM are deterministic in design.

The fact it doesn’t give the same output for the same prompt is just a choice of the programmers to add randomness so it feels more natural.

But you can totally setup some LLMs to be perfectly deterministic.

I tried that with Deepseek.

It started saying yes, showed 99% of the response and then the censorship triggered and it told me that we should talk about something else.

Personally I have clearly reached the burnout stage for Arc Raiders so I dont play much at all these days.

I’ll be honest encouraging players to deal damage to get a skill point reward seems way too PvP oriented as an objective. I thought arc raiders was for all kind of players (PvE or PvP or both) but it seems these 5 days will just be a bloodbath.

I hope at least the new map will be good…

When I need to trial in peace, I spam Stella Montis raids focusing on Medical Research and lobby I bring literally no loadout or just a ferro 1 and some ammo. I focus on gathering blueprints and can’t shoot back anyway. In 3/4 raids like that you should have very friendly lobbies.

Solo players should be able to play PvP if they wish to do so.

That system naturally match PvP vs PvP and PvE vs PvE.

It lets anyone play any mode the way they want to*.

*: assuming you are patient enough for the matchmaker to adjust

I get that you are saying but :

• You can play a few games of trio free loadout until things call down. Sure, you will have to endure pretty much litteraly destroy you and your team… But you should get quite quickly to friendlier lobbies.

In any case IMO you can change from aggro to friendly lobby in about 4 raids so it’s not like a really big issue.

Basically if I do PvP in a session with friends, I will do a few pacifist free loadouts in solo beforehand and that seems to be enough.

The way I see it, it accounts for the damage you do to Arc and other players yo push the matchmaker one way or another.

I didn’t try any of the “Throw snowballs at X” trials.

I hope it’s not too complicated to max out. I probably can do it with a freeloadout anyway.
