US history programs are 95% propaganda so it’s not surprising.

Yea, because it is weird, you dolt. It’s literally just because it’s easier to say that it stuck, but it’s flatly useless. The country’s name is stupid, hard to deal with, and pretty much only the reality on the surface…much like the country itself.
I just say “US citizens”. It would probably be more accurate to say “citizens of the USA” buy my fucking god they aren’t worth that kind of effort.
Soup@lemmy.worldto The Onion@midwest.social•Landlord Raises Rent to Cover the Cost of Never Doing AnythingEnglish2·13 days agoMany places use market-rate housing to help balance out the absurd rices charged when landlords get free rein to do whatever the fuck they want. It’s the same as social housing but people hear that word and, based on nothing, lose their shit and NIMBY themselves into higher rents.
The world’s issues are solvable, we’ve figured out the next several steps at least. The problem is that we can forget the drinking, even getting this horse to water seems next to impossible. You have several answers in front of you and we outnumber the investors by an insane margin, but good luck getting people to stand up for themselves.
Sure, in a wildly extreme version of it and only when the goverment does it. So, basically not at all.
Many of the people who demand “debate” have no real interest in engaging properly, they just want to spew their shit without consequence. People are getting really tired of it and having to constantly do the legwork for them since they’re not even willing to try a little bit or even learn when obvious facts are presented in their little “debates”.
Care to elaborate? Or are we edging “I just don’t like that my opinion is bad and people have the right to tell me fuck off”?
The entire issue with “the middle ground” is that it’s based in relativistic politics which is a complete non-stater since their goal is specifically to not to commit enough to any action such that it actually succeeds. There’re no thoughts behind those eyes, just a weird and bad compromise because they don’t understand anything and are just barely good enough people to not go 100% into hating minorities.
“That waitress is into me, dude!”
Like, what, the servants felt comfortable enough to be mean to the weird kid whose dad is a fuckin’ lunatic, but definitely actually liked him? Suuuuuure. Someone needs to sit the author of that article down and make sure they know what consent is.

Yes, it is made up, he even said as much and that’s why it’s sad. It’s sad because it should be like that and that should be then end of it. You have identified the entire point of the post so rest assured that they know what conservatives have to say and they know that it’s bullshit.
In the world where conservatives, well, don’t exist(the people do but the ideology is gone to the landfill where it belongs) all of the excuses and bungus follow-ups like stuff about the parents would just not be important or said.
Don’t forget to add: When it became clear how poorly designed the vehicle would be even in regards to incredibly simple, already solved problems. Like, the fucking thing can’t even do what their regular cars can and those are built exceedingly poorly by today’s standards.
In French? Yea, it’s there it’s just called, some of the time anyway, an aspirated H. It’s also pretty rare and I’d be willing to bet that that is due to loan words.
French does pronounce most of the letters, they just tend to drop the last one. Then there’s our “though” which is often shortened to “tho” with no consequence. English is not creative, either, most of the time the words were actually pronounced in a way that matches and time changed how we spoke them. That and we just kinda lifted the spelling of loan words but said them differently because whichever of our many accents at the time made it otherwise uncomfortable to say.
The Concorde was just loud and cost more money to run, and in 27 years had only one fatal accident wherein a DC-10(American designed) left a piece of debris on the runway which ultimately kicked off the incident. It was a pretty good plane from my understanding.
If we’re calling out specifics, the Airbus is an incredibly successful plane.

Trump is a bully who preys on people who are scared of him and is a total coward when they stand up for themselves. Saying he’s not afraid is the same as saying “try me” and Trump routinely crumples under even that pressure. How on EARTH are ya’ll missing that at this stage of the game?
This guy talking about Biden not straight-up arresting guy(and what a precedent that would have set!) over some border regulations isn’t really relevant. It’s not news, it’s not even worth mentioning for a moment because of fucking course it didn’t happen. Should Democrats have pinned Abbot to the wall and made him answer for all his bullshit? Yea! Should they have fully arrested him? Sure, if they wanted to normalize what’s happening now to this guy.
We already know that this current admin is extremely aggressive, if you haven’t figured that out yet and find this comment to be something special then holy fuck you’re more screwed than I ever could have imagined. But then, every week I see new people from the US only now cluing into the dumpster fire that is that shithole country and acting as if they aren’t about four decades late to figuring it out. And if you think the Wisconsin governor should be crying for his mother between bouts of pissing his pants then I’ve wasted my time writing this because you’re so far beyond it.
Maybe that was my problem, even acounting for the vast stupidity of the American people I still gave ya’ll far too much credit and assumed there was maybe some kind of point to made.
Soup@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•'Disgusted' But 'Not Afraid': Wisconsin Governor Rips Arrest Threat From Trump Border Czar02·1 month agoDemocratic governor said he’s not afraid. OP said “not afraid? It’s insane!” but then immediately gave an example of how a democrat admin responded to a republican, and the example sets the precedent that there’s nothing to worry about. It doesn’t add anything to the conversation, it doesn’t even try to point out some reason that the GOP would want to get revenge. Are you US morons so deeply fucked that you think that Biden should have been arresting these people instead of, I dunno, at least a trial? Your standards are as worthless as your country.
Ya’ll, if you can’t put that together then there’s nothing else I can do so, have a miserable day, I guess.
Soup@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•'Disgusted' But 'Not Afraid': Wisconsin Governor Rips Arrest Threat From Trump Border Czar05·1 month agoI’m not sure what you’re trying to say. Biden isn’t the president, [instead it’s] a complete fucking lunatic who doesn’t give a shit about the law is and he’s straight-up said he wants to jail his political opponents and/or deport them(even if they are citizens). Like, ok, so the Democrats are bad at having a spine, let me know when you’re actually part of this conversation.
Edit: add some clarity for the stupid people in the room, just in case.
Soup@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Trump Orders Hegseth, Bondi to Send Military Assets to State, Local Police 'to Prevent Crime' in Latest Executive Order12·2 months agoLol bro what are you talking about? Given that there are few-to-no anti-2a people who feverishly vote far-right I think we can confidently say that they are not helping fascists into power. Unless, of course, we’re saying that gun owners getting butthurt and single-issuing their vote in order to keep their hobby is somehow their fault. Far too many gun owners put their firearms above their fellow countryman and it’s just embarrassing.
“Take my guns away?! Well how about THIS!” followed by “they made me do it” is so weak. Try again.
Context: I love guns as a hobby, even had a restricted license(could also own handguns in Canada) for a bit myself and days on the range were really fun. They’re 100% for fun, and if that fun comes at the cost of putting millions of basically unaccounted for firearms into circulation then it’s not fucking worth it.
Don’t forget that Conservatives love to pull regulations or stop them before they get going so companies can do a lot more shit without having to answer for any of it; it’s anyone’s guess what they’re up to!
So much for “order”.
