There has never been any phantom braking.
Nor have I experienced it in any other adaptive cruise control cars I’ve rented.

Do they calculate all the software / subscriptions / services that are being sold by US companies in their ‘trade’ calculations?
I’m willing to bet, US is already exporting more than importing if you put those into the equation.
ShadowRam@fedia.ioOPto Leopards Ate My Face@lemmy.world•Many TSA Officers Voted For Trump, now lost their union.1·3 months agoNo. the reason unions exist is to
- Force Companies to Protect their workers well being and provide better working conditions
- Force Companies to share the profit of the company with the employee’s
Unfortunately a side effect is that unions also protect the stupid/incompetent/lazy to the detriment of the company AND union.

Similar to all the peeps 20 years ago in the SETI@home movement, where you could donate your CPU/bandwidth.
Is there any ‘safe’ way to donate and collectively protest on the internet by signing up to a botnet?
Don’t put money towards any of the major sport franchises.
Want to see a game? go to a local lower level league.
NBA/NHL/NFL/etc … stop going and more importantly stop buying their merchandise.
Want to really stick it to them? Vote for a government that will properly tax the every living SHIT out of these mega franchises.
What are your thoughts on
Competitive rowing?
Competitive lumberjack competitions?
Car Racing? Sailing? Airplane Racing? (involving a piece of equipment)
1 person competitions like Golf?
1 on 1 sports like Tennis?
Maybe your issue isn’t the ‘competitive’ nature?
Maybe your issue isn’t the ‘sports’?
I suspect your beef is with the over the top American Sport Major Sport Leagues and how they are run.
ShadowRam@fedia.ioto Technology@lemmy.world•The ESP32 "backdoor" that wasn't | Dark Mentor LLC218·4 months agoThe dude that wrote this blog is a goof…
defines backdoor as “relating to something that is done secretly
effectively constitute a “private API”, and a company’s choice to not publicly document their private API
Idiot thinks these are two different things…
Are they are trying to argue that malicious intent is needed to define it as a back door?
Moron…
I think Putin’s push is a direct result of US and UK just straight up ignoring the cooperation of the UN Security Council in 2001.
Against the entire world wishes, votes and resolutions passed in the UN…
The US and UK straight up ignored it all and invaded a sovereign nation.
Once that precedent was established, and it was obvious the decorum of the UN Security Council wasn’t going to be respected, Russia and China changed gears…
When they realized that any buffoon (Bush) could one day just be put in charge of the US and decide to invade another country and nothing would stop them, they started preparing long term.
They should have had one person stand up and interrupt and have them escorted out every 10min.
Make the whole thing drag on , and on , and on , and on.
Donald wouldn’t have been able to stay on topic. Having the spot light dragged off him every 10min.
His entire speech would be ignored by the media. No one would have the patience to watch the entire thing. The conversation would be 100% about dem’s disruption and republicans whining about it.
