Yeah, my team actually has a mix of great, good, and replacement level PMs. The bad ones either get let go or moved elsewhere. It helps that we tend to draw them from the roles that would be on projects they’d manage and seem to compensate them well enough that we retain all the good ones.

If an org can’t find good PMs, the org needs to create them and pay them enough that they stick in the role. It’s not easy, but it’s not rocket science.

I think the problem is that plenty of people might like Harris, but not so much that turnout for her matched Biden. The people who like Trump love him, and they turned out in the same numbers as 2020 basically. He didn’t need to meaningfully grow his base if people weren’t motivated to show up for his opponent.

One of the best arguments for ending parking minimums is getting someone in favor to read through them and correctly answer how many spots a handful of hypothetical developments need.

I believe parking minimums make up literally half of the zoning code in my city by number of pages. There’s pages of either vague or outdated minimums. For instance, video rental stores have a dedicated line, but we have zero video rental stores. I believe there is also one for soda fountains.

For low density residential, garages do not count toward parking minimums, meaning you have to have a large driveway even if you don’t need it.
