I mean, acting like the President always gets the last word and should never be corrected is definitely a detriment to the health of our democracy.

So we’re down to just the one Amendment now?

Hitler had a girlfriend. Bin Laden had a wife and many children.

Are they working with any kind of union organizer like Tech Workers Coalition? We could donate to them instead.

You can’t gather intent necessarily from the data. Someone else also suggested they mistook the accelerator for the brake. No reports seem to mention if the driver was impaired but I doubt it’s normal for someone to attempt vehicular suicide stone-cold sober

Sorry, pure conjecture on my part. I just know Elon is as close to a Bond villain as it gets, they have released misleading reports for years, their fatal accident ratings are atrocious, Elon fired regulators that oversee his business, Tesla has lied about missing crash data, and there’s a fair amount of open lawsuits involving safety (some from whistleblowers).
Just saying accidental acceleration would be an easier pill to swallow if it was any other car brand.

IDK how those logs are generated or kept but I don’t put it passed Elon to have data rewritten in the event of or just prior to an expected crash. I’ve also heard reports of cars disengaging autopilot just before a crash to claim the “driver was in control” during the crash.

In 2025 Congress almost met fewer days in 2025 than they have in a decade (2nd only to 2021 during COVID). Conservatively I work 240 days per year and their average is about 125.

Yup. Cost for copilot at my work just went up and the tone changed from, “Use it everywhere!” to, “Use it where it makes sense.” I mean, that should’ve always been the guidance but as usual the vendors gave them a good show with their shiny new tech, execs came in their pants, and the engineers were expected to make magic happen.

I normally install stuff using Aurora (if it’s not on F-Droid) and haven’t been asked for my age yet. Hope it lasts.

Schofield described one meeting in which a DOGE official revealed the goal of such a cruel plan: to make immigrants so miserable that they would self-deport or try to visit a Social Security office, where they could be arrested.
Not sure I follow how that works. Is he referring to naturalized citizens?

Until our 500th birthday. We elected an insurrectionist. We deserve to wear the scars of his presidency on our face.

I’m not thinking any of this is signs of fraud or manipulation, but they’ve been counting ballots for at least 3 days and only 65% done. That’s kind of pathetic if you ask me. Don’t they have ballot scanners? Every election IMO should have ballots run though scanners (twice) and then random samples hand-counted to verify accuracy of the scanners. If it’s all done by hand you’re just as likely to introduce error as people become fatigued or zone out during processing.

Not me. As soon as my boss said, “Use the tool thoughtfully,” I pretty much don’t use it at all anymore.

Beto had a decent chance until he said he was coming for the AR-15s. I mean at least let your opponents say that, don’t feed them the sound byte.

Besides, people will just do what they do in Illinois: drive to the nearest red state to buy a gun.

The only place I’ve heard of it being genuinely useful is in scientific applications where they review and verify the outputs. Pretty much anywhere else it gets a quick glance and a thumbs up before it’s shipped out the door.

What we heard: “You can get the processing power you need at 1/1000th the scale!”
What investors heard: “Data centers just got 1000x more valuable!”
