A substantial amount of the horndogging is over minors, so there’s that . . . He’s really into My Dress-Up Darling and spends roughly a third of the time he’s discussing it talking about the female lead’s anatomy.

They are drawings representing a young person. She may as well be 16, 18 or 24.

As long as he doesn’t lust over literal children in anime (or the infamous 800 year old child) it’s ok.

At that point you “may as well” say that of a 16 year old. “Visually speaking, she could be 18” and it’s just her appearance, right?

If a character is clearly a minor and coded through and through as a teenager and also seriously sexualized, I don’t care if she has crow’s feet, that’s pedo shit.

What do you mean “clearly”?? A literal loli archetype?? a character who may as well represent a college student??? It constanly depends of the anime and its art style.

Also, wtf comparing media depictions with actual children.

You keep saying “may as well” but you’re just playing pretend that after (I’d guess) middle school there’s just no distinction between a teenager and adult. Can you not recognize how teens are typically written? Do you think the fetish of fuku uniforms is just because people are really into sailing?

If you think lusting over drawings of minors is somehow completely different and unrelated to lusting over real children then I don’t fucking know what to tell you.kombucha-disgust

Adding to this with my own take: fictional violence is rooted in real-world violence, produced by and serving to develop a violent culture; fictional violence should accordingly be understood through the lens of that violent culture and how the individuals shaped by it respond to it. This does end up making fictional CSAM comparable to Impossible Burgers and Half-Life 2, but so long as that comparison is not equivalence then that’s fine by me.

In any case camaron30 got banned while I was writing this comment, hooray. Yet another case of the ever-inexplicable move I like to call “pedokaze” — sad!

Yeah, my bad. It’s definitely the same thing, time to round up all those women drawing smut of Jojo or Bnha characters.

You people should drop your american puritan worldview, that’s how we end up with Mastercard banning porn games and eventually LGBT games.

(now it’s when you ignore my point and pretend that what i said was “it’s cool to draw hardcore porn of loli-type girls”)

Holy shit, we’re here talking about a grown up outspokenly lusting over cartoon depictions of minors, which you seem to defend, and then you try to disingenuously blame those who criticize that for being responsible for reactionaries banning porn and LGBT content. Fucking gross and offensive. I’m also not an amerikkkan, so you can shove your accusation of American puritanism up your ass, motherfucker.

No ofense but i’m not giving sensitive information to a stranger.

Also, what even is the point. If i were a teen you’d say that my opinion would change with age, and if i told you that i am an adult you would either call me a pedo or a loser for caring about said stuff.

My point is very simple. Cartoons are cartoons, they are not real. I care about how the characters are coded, not the age that the author decided to give them (otherwise 800 year old dragon lolis would be ok i guess, but the people i’m arguing with would twist themselves in knots backtracking their points).

I get this point and agree with it, but damn are you explaining it terribly. It sounds like you’d agree with the 800 year old dragon loli thing.

And it still doesn’t excuse it if the character is coded mostly like an adult, but with something like the school uniform.

Right, but one of those is just being ignorant because you’re young and the other is something much worse. If you said you were like 20 then it wouldn’t be completely not sus, but it would be much more worth being charitable than if you’re closer to 30.

but the people i’m arguing with would twist themselves in knots backtracking their points

As others correctly said, it’s not just one quality but several qualities that are each necessary conditions for something not being pedo shit. People who like whatever the My Dress-Up Darling protag are creeps and so are people who like the dragon lolis because both are ways of appealing to a fantasy of fucking a minor. That’s the logical conclusion when you try to analyze the social meaning of something rather than look at it as a permission structure for when it’s okay to wank it to drawings of kids.
