Someone who thinks the plural of ‘kid’ is ‘kid’s’ clearly underestimates the societal value of a decent education

“Just” move to a country that isn’t so collectively insane and misguided, idk. If people cross the Mediterranean on boats to seek shelter and a better life, why would it be so unthinkable for y’all?

check k12.com many states have free at home school options that use the states curriculum. An adult functions as the ‘learning coach’ to make sure the child stays on task and they mail you the books and other school supplies. Lessons are online with state accredited teachers and they give you a laptop if you need it. they get the same diploma as kids who attend in person school. my state has a few options like this.

      Homeschooling.

      Co-op schooling.

There’s charter schools, but that’s really just a scam to get taxpayer money directly into special interests who have control over curriculum, admissions, staffing, and of course everything else that goes with running a for-profit business, often with little to no oversight, accountability, or transparency.

Insane that conservatives, of all people, cherish them so much. But it makes sense. The conservative small government agenda is a smokescreen. All they care about is exerting direct control over people they don’t like and protecting the ones they do.
