    The geenie works through one wish at a time so when he gets to the third wish the first one has already been granted and ignoring it doesn’t retroactively change anything.

    Nethack, a game from 1984, will parse these wishes as wishing for nothing.

    He didn’t actually wish for anything though. He needed to specifically say, “I wish for…”, but since that didn’t happen, none of those should count as wishes. Genie law is very strict when it comes to protocol.

    This just feels like a bad idea. The fourth panel is actually the person stuck in a pocket dimension as time moves forward and they are unable to move due to the loop.

    The opposite of “Don’t fulfil my wish” is just “grant my wish”, so all you’re asking the genie to do is ignore granting you a “third” wish…
