        “Regime” is a derogatory method of describing a group. Wouldn’t expect less from you.

          Not really, I’ve heard it be used in a neutral context to describe not just groups, but ways of doing things.

          But at least in this case, it is being used in a derogatory way to describe a country which has brought untold amounts of suffering to so many people on the planet, and continues to be a capitalist hellhole. Like, I have never met an English man who doesn’t hate the UK government, and all of them would be on board with calling it a “regime” (derogatory).
